How to Make: Affogato al Caffe

A delectable treat for the evening (...or morning, afternoon,...all the time if you ask me!).

 Affogato al caffe translates from Italian to "drowned in coffee" and is traditionally made with a scoop of vanilla gelato that is 'drowned' or topped with fresh espresso. If you have an espresso maker and gelato, making an affogato in the traditional way is a must!

 Here's an easy alternate way to make this at home!

 Ingredients:

-Vanilla Ice Cream (or Gelato)

-Strong Coffee (or Espresso)

 1. Take a scoop of vanilla ice cream and put into a glass.

 2. Now brew your coffee strong and pour 1-2 ounces (2-3 TBSP) over your ice cream.

And there you have it! A delicious Italian treat to get lost in!
